06/11/2020

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (June 11, 2020) – Kennedy Wilson Property Services, a division of the global real estate investment company Kennedy Wilson (NYSE: KW), has onboarded Bruce Carlson as managing director of property services, with a focus on expanding the commercial brokerage platform in Northern California. Carlson brings over 30 years of commercial real estate experience as well as a successful track record in development, entitlement, capital markets and corporate services, which will be leveraged to oversee broker recruitment and regional business development throughout the greater San Francisco Bay area, including the North Bay, South Bay, East Bay, and Sacramento.

“We are thrilled to have Bruce join Kennedy Wilson’s Northern California team to expand our brokerage platform in the region’s key markets,” said Donna Clark, Senior Managing Director of property services at Kennedy Wilson. “His strong industry relationships and successful track record across a variety of product types are a great complement to our unique platform and collaborative work environment.”

Carlson has sourced and completed approximately $9 billion in transactions, including assignments from Converse, Pets.com, Miller Brewing Company, Dole, and Costco. The Orvis Company tapped Carlson for transactions throughout the west for over 20 years, and The North Face, Inc. enlisted Carlson’s expertise for retail expansion, multiple distribution facilities and a 150,000 square foot headquarters relocation as they identified locations across the United States. Carlson was also integral in the relocation of the Cost Plus corporate headquarters to an expanded location in Oakland, California. Prior to joining Kennedy Wilson, Bruce most recently held positions at Steelhead Real Estate Partners, Chicago Title Company, Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate and Legacy Partners.

Other projects of scale completed by Carlson include the land sale to Federal Realty of what is now Santana Row, a 42-acre luxury, mixed-use development in the heart of Silicon Valley; and EmeryTech, a former industrial building redeveloped by Ellis Partners as a build to suite for Andronico’s Market and mixed-use office property in Emeryville, California. In addition, Carlton has also arranged over $300 million in multifamily developments and investments.

“Kennedy Wilson is exceptional in that it has the institutional horsepower of a global brand, but the team still operates in a bespoke and entrepreneurial manner,” said Carlson. “My goal at Kennedy Wilson is to build upon the company’s strong reputation in the Northern California market by recruiting top talent and growing the menu of brokerage services across office, industrial, retail, apartment and capital markets. At Kennedy Wilson, we are well positioned to expand our team and our platform.”
