Baxter Renews/Expands at The Oaks at Westlake
Beverly Hills, CA (December 14, 2009) KW Commercial Investment Group, a division of the international real estate services and investment firm Kennedy Wilson, announced that it has renewed and expanded a lease with Baxter Healthcare Corporation at 1 Baxter Way in Thousand Oaks in one of the largest lease transactions to be completed in Los Angeles County this year.
Baxter Healthcare Corporation is a Baxter International Inc. Company, a global healthcare company that assists healthcare professionals and their patients with treatment of complex medical conditions. Baxter applies a unique combination of expertise in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to create products that advance patient care worldwide. The renewal and expansion was for a total of 230,621 square feet of office space for a 9-year term. The value of the lease was not disclosed. The Oaks At Westlake, containing approximately 355,000 SF, is a Class “A” 3-story office building and is now 97% leased. Other major tenants at the building include State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company and Verizon California, Inc. Built into a hillside, the property is ideally located with significant frontage on the 101 Freeway and offers convenient dining and shopping for tenants.
Baxter was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle. The landlord, One Baxter Way, L. P., was represented in-house by John Prabhu and Mickey Isen of Kennedy Wilson.
